I was born plus raised in AL, however I had recently moved up north, i loved the new part plus how it was winter time with frigid nights plus nights.

I learned how to ski plus enjoyed snow tubing, plus when my mom asked me to come back apartment when my Mom died, I didn’t want to go back home! AL was where I grew up, however it was no longer my home.

After being gone for five years, I observed a lot of changes in Birmingham, AL, then not all the changes were good, however it was still home, but the apartment was a bit more rundown than I remembered, plus the people were older, however that would have happened if I had stayed in Birmingham or moved on. I was talking to mom one afternoon, plus he asked if I would take his to bingo. I knew the bingo he was talking about. I turned on the heat in the car plus took his out. It was down to frigid, plus I knew mom seldom went out of the house… She had his winter time coat on, plus was looking forward to a night of bingo. After two hours, I was bored, however mom was winning plus he didn’t want to leave. I sat there, feeling the heat pouring from the air vents that was so overheated I was perspiring. Some of the older ladies were wearing jackets, plus I had to laugh, and mom pushed a bingo card over to me plus told me to relax, bingo would be over in an hour. I was ready to go home, however I didn’t want to go back to the apartment.

I live in Minneapolis, MN, which means the Mall of America is my favorite site to shop! The Mall of America isn’t just a shopping center, but it is an experience, then one of my favorite sites to go in the mall is the Sea Life at Mall of America… It has a 360 degree tube bridge that has water surrounding it, however you literally have the fish swimming all around you, but you don’t get wet.

There is Legoland for the young kids & more than 2 other sites for kids to have fun while mom is shopping, then my next favorite thing to do while at Mall of America, is visit the escape rooms.

They can be a bit costly, but they can be a lot of fun, even if you’ve done them more than 2 times already! Sea Life at the Mall is amazing. It never stops, even if it is below zero outside. If you can get to the mall, the heat is amazing, & you can visit Sea Life without a lot of other visitors. If it’s escape rooms you prefer, they have perfect heating & a/c that can handle anything the Minneapolis weather throws at us. There is more than Sea Life, shopping or escape rooms to experience in Minneapolis, MN, but the best way to find out is to visit… Get all the brochures you can find & make time for all those fun things. Make sure you have a few afternoons to go through your itinerary, because it will be a long one.

Unless you have lived in Lee’s Summit, MO your entire life, you can’t imagine the splendor of the Magic Tree, but every year, the Magic tree is lit up at Christmas time, it sits in the intersection of two tied up highways, and it has been a community staple for decades. It has been a locale for people to visit and a spot to drop off toy donations for the Operation Toy Soldier nonprofit. In recent years, it has become the perfect backdrop for Christmas selfies by both natives of Lee’s Summit and tourists, but not being a native resident of Lee’s Summit, I knew particularly little about the Magic Tree, and my best associate talked about the Magic tree from Thanksgiving until Christmas holiday, she couldn’t wait to go back to Lee’s Summit for the holidays this year, and she asked me to go with her. Normally, I would be going south with my parents, and enjoying warmer weather, the pool, and a/c. They had decided to go visit Aunt Linda in London, and I didn’t want to go along. I agreed to go with her, as long as her parents thought it was okay, when my wonderful friend and I got there, I was glad I had brought my heavy winter coat and gloves. It was moderate on the airplane, but it was cold as my wonderful friend and I walked across the tarmac, but as soon as the heating in the airport hit, I was start to thaw. The Heating and A/C system in the taxi was even better, but it wasn’t until my wonderful friend and I got to my friend’s cabin that I felt comfortable. The temperature was thirty-two, and without the boiler, I would have frozen. Even with the cold, it was still the best Christmas I had in years.

One of the few locales I had never visited while in FL, was the Jacksonville zoo; My child told me it wasn’t the largest zoo, but it would be fun for the women, so my good friend and I headed out, i was used to our zoo back where I lived, there were locales all over the zoo where you could get under shade plus it would be a lot cooler, and jacksonville zoo had a lot of shaded areas, but it didn’t help to escape the heat plus humidity of summer.

• I felt like I was going to get sick from the heat, despite the fact that I wasn’t going to tell my child that.

It was getting close to dinner time, plus I simply said I needed to get some dinner, however she started toward an area where you could hotdogs, hamburgers plus other things, plus I was sure she was going to request my good friend and I eat at one of the picnic tables. I grabbed my granddaughter’s hand plus pointed to the small restaurant where she could watch the creatures while my good friend and I ate. It advertised air conditioner on the window, plus I already knew I was going to rest inside while my good friend and I ate. My associate and I hadn’t even finished our dinner when my youngest granddaughter yawned. She said she was tired plus asked if my good friend and I could go back to my daughter’s house. I could not tell her no. She was only six plus needed to get out of the heat plus humidity at Jacksonville Zoo. My child wasn’t glad, despite the fact that I was the one who paid the entrance fee for all of us, plus I paid for dinner… All she had to do was drive us to the zoo plus back to her house.
