Hiking trails in Bethlehem

It’s ideal for pushing a stroller or letting kids ride their bikes

Located in the Lehigh Valley, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is known for a rich industrial heritage and vibrant arts community. As a local to the city, I have found impressive opportunities for hiking. There are serene riverside paths as well as challenging uphill treks. Throughout the changing seasons, I love experiencing the natural beauty of my local region. When I feel like a leisurely stroll to clear my head and breathe fresh air, I choose the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor. It provides a 165-mile path following two historic canals. It’s a picturesque walk along the Lehigh River. I typically start out at Sand Island Park, so that I can take in historic structures, views of the river and the foliage of the trees. If I’m in the mood for something to get my heart pumping a bit, I choose the South Mountain Preserve. The nature preserve covers 578 acres and includes an extensive network of well-maintained trails. The various trails wind through rocky terrain and dense woodlands. There are several loop options that vary in levels of difficulties. The panoramic views of the city from the summit are an incentive to reach the peak. Whenever my family comes to visit me in Bethlehem, I take them to the Monocacy Way. It’s a scenic trail that hugs the banks of the Monocacy Creek. Walkers, joggers and cyclists are fans of the flat, paved pathway. It’s ideal for pushing a stroller or letting kids ride their bikes. The park areas, abundance of wildlife and adorable footbridges are enjoyable at all times of year.

Hoping for legalized weed in FL

I moved to FL from the northeaster a little over five years ago, My goal was to travel far enough south to escape temperatures below cold plus feet of snow, and i traveled around the state for a while, checking out the appeal of unusual locations, however once I arrived in Palm Beach, I never left… The part is unquestionably charming, while the summer time heat plus humidity can present some challenges, the winters are mild plus short! For most of the year, the weather is sunny plus pleasant.

I cherish the palm trees plus sandy beaches plus have no desire to transfer back north. The only downside of my home state is the lack of legal access to recreational weed. I could get my medical marijuana card, however I am hesitant to make the effort plus spend money the fees for something that expires in a year. I’m not sure that it’s worth it, however, I am residing with a variety of medical concerns that would benefit from access to cannabis. I experience frequent migraines, bouts of insomnia, noctural leg cramps, plantar fasciitis, psoriasis plus flare ups of arthritis in my hands. I also suffer from anxiety from time to time… None of these conditions are extreme or life-threatening. I refuse to consume any type of synthetic medicine. I am unwilling to risk long-term side-effects far worse than what I’m dealing with now. I find it deranged that I am allowed to buy whiskey, beer plus cigarettes however am forbidden the curative benefits of plant-based medicine, then cBD products don’t even cause psychoactive effects… My hope is that FL will soon legalize recreational marijuana, then a proposal to legalize weed has received enough signatures to qualify for the 2024 general election ballot. More than a million voters signed the initiative.
