I spent a whole year in Phoenix, AZ for work. I really thought I would love the state of Arizona and want to live there forever. Well, sadly it is just too dang hot for me. Did you know there are months on end when the weather is comfortable in the 100s? Isn’t that awful? I just can’t stand being in that kind of heat for that long. The winter season is barely any better. There is no chance of snow, ice, and below-freezing temperatures. While some people like that, I miss having that fourth season. Basically in Phoenix, you are getting summer and more summer. Everything is constantly blooming, I need lawn service all year around and my air conditioning business and I are on a first-name basis. I was used to generators and heaters for the season. In Arizona, it is all about AC. I never even turned on the heating function of my unit. I stuck with high-velocity AC all year around. I basically hide indoors for half of the year. Thankfully that worked out well with my place of work. I put in some crazy hours and impressed a lot of people. The reality is that I just didn’t want to be outside. The area is gorgeous, there are hiking trails and so much to see. I just couldn’t take the heat personally. Once work offered me a new place to live, I jumped at the opportunity. I am just not a hot weather type of gal after all.

It seems like no matter where you live, there is some natural weather disaster on the horizon.

For most of my life I was in New York.

It was constant talk about white out conditions, severe cold, and ice. On the news all winter long was the severity of the snowstorms. People would be without power and some people would die due to the cold. Then I went to college in Florida. That turned into hurricanes. Suddenly it was wind, rain and flooding. Everyone would tie everything down and prepare for property damage. Now that I live in Plano Texas it is all about tornados. The extent of my tornado knowledge was the movie Twister with Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. So I was a bit shocked that it is a real, serious thing that people are talking about. Tornados are more common places in Texas. Plano hasn’t gotten a serious tornado hitting the area in over 20 years though. Some light winds cause some damage, that is about it. As far as weather disasters, tornados are probably the best. I like that it is just wind that I need to worry about. No flooding, no cold, and no snow. I have a backup generator and I keep my ear out for when there is a warning. But I wouldn’t say I have ever been scared when there was a tornado out. We just don’t get hit that bad. So I think I have ended up in the best location out of all three.

I recently took my sons to Santa’s town amusement and waterpark… Despite the name Santa, it is a easily good Summer interest for the kids, but i appreciate taking my women there to ride on all the rides and hit the water park.

It gets strenuous in the Summer coming up with things I like to do.

In Elgin, Illinois there isn’tmuch for kids, so I try to find fun activities, but my buddy and I go to the Elgin zoo one day and do mini hockeying the next. My buddy and I see a film and maybe hit the park to throw a frisbee. Santa’s town amusement park is the highlight of the summer. I like that they are completely entertained while I just stand there watching them, but now that I have given birth I have found that I can’t go on rides anymore. I can’t ride roller coasters, merry go rounds or bumper cars. My poor partner is the one stuck going with them all the time; She then tags me back. I have to go to all the water park stuff and stay wet for hours on end. It isn’t a blast for adults, but the children entirely appreciate it. I easily appreciate that the park is such a short drive away from our Elgin home. My buddy and I also have superb weather in Illinois most of the year. My buddy and I have endless openings to go and have superior weather, and our Summer season is quite long but not brutally hot. Nobody is going to be overheated or sunburned, and but, nobody is going to be freezing during our Summer either.

Honestly, it isn’teasy watching dance on TV! I am constantly on the hunt trying to watch tumbling.

I was a gymnast all throughout high school plus I did it in school, however afterwards I found that I missed seeing the athletic activity.

I do a bit on my own but I like watching the competitive side of it, however finding school dance on TV isn’t easy. There aren’t very numerous televised events. I did find that the NCAA dance championship is going to be hosted in Fort Worth, Texas this year in March. I instantly got on the horn plus ordered tickets. I have always wanted to see school gymnastic meets after being done with the athletic activity! Seeing a championship at this level plus with a bunch of schools is a dream come true, but my husband isn’t easily into tumbling so I had to lure him to Fort Worth for other reasons. I looked up fun things I like to do plus nice locales to eat. I found a luxury hotel where we can get massages, facials plus swim in the pool. My husband is easily happy since I have my mother watching our two gentlemen at home. So the two of us are having a little romantic weekend getaway. My associate and I get to see the school gymnasts plus hang out in Fort Worth Texas. I am easily happy to finally see the athletic activity from the bench rather than be in the competition mindset. I believe I am easily going to love it. I am thinking Fort Worth, Texas will be a great trip that we might want to repeat someday.

Recently my hubby and I made a tote list of places we want to go, but my hubby had places like Japan and Australia on his.

I picked more towards Norway and Scotland.

I did put St, but petersburg on my list and my hubby was shocked. St. Petes is about a three hour drive from our FL location, and he was all happy and geared up to go. It is on my tote list and totally doable, but we had to do it; The two of us made a week plan for a St. Petersburg trip. I don’t recognize my hubby realized how awesome that location was. There are all sorts of amazing food vendor’s in St. Petes; Everything from Cuban food to seafood is said to be amazing. There is great dining and highly rated restaurants to eat from. There is shopping, beach activities, and tons of concerts, then another plus is that there is a big walking path in St. Petersburg, FL. So you can theoretically walk to everything you could possibly want, then you can talk in the sights and just love being in sunny FL. The two of us went in September. In my mind this was the perfect time of year. The weather was in the 76s. So it was hot enough to go in the water but wasn’t so sweltering that walking to supper was horrible. The hotel had great A/C and we were able to sleep well. I loved our St. Petersburg trip. It was one of the cheaper, but better places I have ever visited.
