The vehicle is going bad

I thought reading how to drive in the snow was difficult, however reading how to drive in San Francisco is even worse, then there are hundreds of hills and sharp turns; My partner and I bought a home on the side of a mountain, but when both of us moved to San Francisco in the 1972’s, both of us had the only home on the long and narrow road.

Now the village has hundreds of houses, and a lot of things have changed since both of us moved to San Francisco 40 years ago. When my partner and I moved to CA, marijuana was still prohibited… In the last few decades, marijuana laws have changed severely! First it was medically legal and then CA became 1 of the first states to allow sales of recreational marijuana. A lot of people decided to transfer to San Francisco after marijuana was allowed for recreational use. Around that time, the village started to boom with restaurants, bars, clothing shops, and boutiques. My adolescents have grown up in this city, however san Francisco is all they have ever known in their lives. My child Zach recently started reading how to drive. My partner has the oldest vehicle and it is a manual stick shift… Zach has been reading how to drive with the stick shift, however it has been a nightmare on the San Francisco hills, however last weekend, both of us went for a drive over by the wharf. Zach was severely nervous, especially when both of us were the first vehicle at a red light at the top of a hill, then she tried to shift properly, however the vehicle rolled backwards and hit another driver.

I love the climate . . until it's too hot

There are tons of famous people still living in the suburban town, another fantastic reason to love the west coast is the legalization of medical as well as recreational marijuana.

One of the reasons why I decided to move to Tarzana, California is due to the Mediterranean climate, and this style of climate is only found in this part of the United States… One reason is due to the identifiable topography of the region! Los Angeles has barrier islands that help aid in this climate, and when I was picking locales to live after graduating from school, I thought LA sounded amazing. I knew I would be able to find a job in LA separate from various concerns, but the cost of living was outrageous. The price on a one living room flat was almost multiple grand a week. I wouldn’t be able to pay off my student loans at that rate. When I found property in Tarzana, I was eager to learn more about the area. I thought the sound of the climate was attractive as well as I was also intrigued by the number of famous people that are from Tarzana, and jason Derulo, Marc Antony as well as Lisa Kudrow all grew up in the town of Tarzana. There are tons of famous people still living in the suburban town, another fantastic reason to love the west coast is the legalization of medical as well as recreational marijuana. The legalization of marijuana has led to billions of dollars in replace for the state. The taxes on legal cannabis are used for town parks, road repair, as well as community events. If you ever consider moving to the west coast, there are a ton of communities right outside of LA. The sizable town is less than an fourth away, as well as the areas still offer the charm of small neighborhood living.

The bay area is the perfect area for family fun

I try to introduce my kids to new and interesting places, where they can learn about history, nature, technology or science.

San Francisco, CA is one of the best places to visit.

It’s especially advantageous for us, because we live close by. My family lives in the foothills of San Francisco. We try to visit the bay area as much as possible. One of the places that the kids always want to visit is the Exploratorium. The Exploratorium in San Francisco, CA provides a hands-on reading experience centered around science, art and technology. The kids just love the interactive exhibits and displays. The Observation Gallery is always a favorite. There’s lots to do in the area for family-friendly activities. We often take the kids to the San Francisco zoo. The kids get to see all sorts of exotic and endangered animals in their natural habitat. It’s a perfect opportunity to talk about nature, the environment and our impact on it. We discuss the different needs and care required for the animals. There are all sorts of interactive options such as an indoor rainforest with colorful birds, a butterfly tour and a petting area. Plus, walking the zoo is great exercise. We put on several miles just strolling from one exhibit to the next. We’re fortunate that our area provides such great weather at all times of year. In San Francisco, the temperatures rarely get overly hot or overly chilly. We can easily plan outdoor activities, such as the zoo or the waterfront.

Finding the perfect place to live on the west coast

I’m happy with where I’m living

I decided to move to the West Coast for several reasons. I was tired of long, cold and snowy winters. I wanted a fresh start. I also liked the opportunity for legalized weed. I didn’t know the cost of living in California is a lot higher than most other places. I checked online costs for recreational marijuana and found that they are approximately half the price of the prices for medical weed I was paying at the time. That encouraged me to move. I suffer from terrible anxiety and struggle with depression. Cannabis is about the only thing that has provided a decent quality of life. However, the cost of medical marijuana was draining my budget. I was lucky to have a relative already living in San Francisco. This made the move a little easier to handle. My Aunt provided me a place to live until I got on my feet. I thought she meant I could stay with her for a few weeks or even months. I realized that she was ready for me to move after just a couple of days. All of a sudden, I was in a hurry to find cheap accommodations in San Francisco. I barely had any money to my name. I found a few options for vacant apartments on craigslist. One of those was posted by a woman who was looking for someone to take care of her elederly mother during the day in exchange for free housing. I was super excited by this opportunity. I knew I’d still need to find a job to pay expenses, but free housing was a great start. I met with the woman and her mom, and we really hit it off. I was excited to move in and help out. It’s been a really great setup for all of us. I managed to get a job a couple evenings during the week and on weekends at a nearby marijuana dispensary. I can walk to work and back, which saves time and money. I love the job and the people I work with. I’m happy with where I’m living. I’ve never felt so good about where I’m at in life.

Moving to CA

Just managing rent is a struggle

CA includes one of the biggest LGBTQ populations in the whole country. San Francisco always ranks near the top of the list. Acceptance is on the rise in CA. Nowhere is that more obvious than in San Francisco. The streets are decorated with pride symbols and rainbow flags. There are LGBT friendly shops and restaurants. Diversity is welcomed in San Francisco. That is one of the things I like most about the city. I transferred to San Francisco three years ago for 2 main reasons. I felt limited in the midwest. It is not open to exploration of sexuality and I am gay. I was confronted by too many closed-minded people, and it had negatively impacted my career. I am also a daily marijuana smoker. With recreational weed 100% legal in CA, I was convinced to make the move. I discovered that recreational marijauna in California is about half the cost of what I was paying before I moved. The variety of strains is nearly endless, and the terpenes are amazing. The dispensaries have a great deal of competition and need to continually innovate and offer more specials. I was happy to get a job working in a dispensary near my apartment. The job pays most of the bills. However, the cost of living is extremely expensive in California. I need to work part-time at a clothing boutique in downtown San Francisco to cover insurance, student loans and that sort of thing. There is no way for me to survive in San Francisco without working 2 jobs. It’s a wonderful place to live and work, but it isn’t cheap. Just managing rent is a struggle. My apartment is smaller than most hotel rooms, and I have a roommate. I also need to pay for a parking pass.
