I know a lot of people think that guided tours are lame, but I disagree. I travel a lot, so I don’t mind doing all the basic stuff other tourists do. Guided tours are a great way to get to know a new city when you first visit. You can see the sights, hear the local history, and get a better sense of the place. Basically I always look for a guided tour whenever possible, although in my most recent trip I did my research ahead of time. In fact, the main reason I went to Albuquerque in the first place was to take the guided Breaking Bad tour. Instead of giving insight and history about the city of Albuquerque, this tour was all about visiting the shooting locations for the television series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. First of all, if you’ve never seen those programs before you are missing out, because they are 2 of the best ever. Second of all, the entire series was filmed in the Albuquerque area, taking full advantage of the panoramic landscapes and jaw-dropping sunsets. The skies over Albuquerque will make you believe God is real, that’s how gorgeous they are. Sadly, even though cannabis is legal in Albuquerque I was not allowed to smoke it on the tour bus. Cannabis really enhances the beauty of those amazing Albuquerque skies, let me tell you. Even without being able to smoke cannabis, the Breaking Bad tour was one of the highlights of my life, and I highly recommend everyone take it when you visit Albuquerque.

Neither my parents nor boyfriend wanted me to try marijuana around them

When I turned 21, I wanted to try marijuana. I had always been interested in trying marijuana, but I wanted to wait until I was 21. I was afraid of the law coming after me. My dad told me that the police in Denver, CO, could really crack down on you if you were underage, or using marijuana in the wrong areas. While in the marijuana dispensary, I asked if there was anyplace I could or couldn’t use marijuana. The budtender told me I could use in my private residence, but only if the property owner allowed it. They had licensed marijuana hospitality businesses and licensed retail marijuana hospitality and sales businesses that had lounges where you could use marijuana. I could not use marijuana anywhere the public could see me, or where they had access and no restrictions. I was thinking the only safe place for me to try marijuana for the first time was in my home. When the budtender continued to talk about restricted areas, including common areas of building and facilities, hotel rooms, business not licensed for marijuana use, streets, highways, transport facilities, parks, playgrounds, or arcades, I changed my mind. Neither my parents nor boyfriend wanted me to try marijuana around them. I told him I wasn’t interested in purchasing marijuana; all I wanted to do was get some information. It sounded like Denver, CO, didn’t mind if you used marijuana, but they wanted you to hide away from the public like you were a leper or a recalcitrant child in the old days.

It has been very hot and humid this week, which is common for this time of the year.

During the Spring months in Phoenix, temperatures are usually warm.

There are often days during April and May when the temperatures are in the ’90s. Unfortunately, we had a couple of days when the temperatures were close to 100° in May and we had to cancel all of the baseball team practices 3 days in a row. I coach a baseball team in Phoenix and we regularly have practices in the afternoon that last 2 hours or more. Temperatures were still 100° in the afternoon, so we canceled 3 days of practice. When the team finally came back to the field, all of the kids were acting lazy. I told the kids to run the field three times and I got a bunch of complaints. After practice was over, we went to the locker room to clean up and there was no air conditioning at all. I couldn’t figure out why the air conditioner wasn’t working. I adjusted the thermostat and I also checked to make sure that the breaker to the air conditioner was on. I contacted the building manager to complain about the indoor temperatures and he told me that the air conditioner could not be fixed until the following week. When I heard the news, I decided to cancel baseball practices for the rest of the week. I hope that we will be able to get back on track next week. The team is going to start playing games in three weeks and we aren’t even close to ready.

Her home was warm and dry unlike the freezing drizzle that was falling outside

I was in Chicago last fall, and dreaded it! The weather was drizzling and freezing, and all I wanted to do was go home… My fiance had meetings all afternoon, and I was stuck in the hotel. The HVAC method worked well, although I wasn’t in the mood for a hotel room… I remembered my mom telling myself and others that the people I was with and I had family that lived right outside of Chicago in a small suburb called Alsip, IL. I got in a taxi and asked them to take myself and others to Alsip, and he looked at myself and others oddly and asked where in Alsip. I put up a finger while I called my mom, then she offered myself and others the address for her sibling. When the people I was with and I got there, I felt a bit odd walking up to the house and telling them I was their niece. I stood outside the door, and it abruptly opened. They were located near an ancient cemetery that was marked as Burr Oak Cemetery, and mom told myself and others that would let myself and others think I was in the right area. The lady who opened the door looked so much appreciate my mom that I almost cried. I told her who I was and she welcomed myself and others appreciate she had known myself and others my entire life. I felt appreciate I was home when I was with my aunt, and I didn’t want to leave.
