My wife was trying to order some items from the Las Vegas marijuana delivery service.

Portland has long been known as one of the most progressive cities in the country.

That may sound great to you, or it may sound awful, depending on your political views.

Don’t worry, this isn’t a political post, I hate getting into arguments online! I wanted to do a little history on the city, to give some insight as to why Portland is so progressive. It started with the hippies, who flooded up into the area from California in the early 60s. Some of them were dodging the draft and on the way to Canada, and ended up staying in Portland instead. For the last fifty years, these hippies were the moral backbone of Portland, and guided the city into different kinds of political activism. They have also guided the Portland area towards being known for the best locally grown cannabis in the country. I know there are a lot of other cities that lay claim to being the Cannabis Capital but I would take Portland weed over any other kind. Just like the city of Portland itself, the history of local cannabis is deep and rich. For decades those old hippies plied their trades and kept improving on their cannabis crops, passing down their secrets to the next generation. With so much history involved with growing Portland weed, is it any wonder that we produce the finest in the world? Like the rest of Oregon, the city of Portland has very loose rules when it comes to cannabis and recreational drug use. This doesn’t make Portland more dangerous, just a lot more fun.

My journalism career started right here in Denver, Colorado over 12 years ago.

I was a writer and photographer at the time, fresh out of college and trying to climb the ladder in the world of journalism.

I really don’t know what I was thinking, because even then we all knew that print journalism was slowly dying. Still, Denver was home to several reputable publications so I moved here to ply my trade. The first big story I covered was in 2012, when Colorado first legalized cannabis for people over the age of 21. You remember seeing the picture of a Girl Scout who set up her cookie table in front of a cannabis dispensary? I took that picture to sell to the local Denver newspapers! After that I had a brief but successful run as a photographer for the local Denver news media, but I had the sense to move on before the work dried up. I started a small internet news company with several of my friends from the Denver media. We wanted to use blogs and vlogs to tell stories about Colorado, instead of working for the major news outlets. This would give us the freedom to explore the real faces of Denver. We found funding from one of the major cannabis companies that is based in Denver, and while it wasn’t much it was enough to get our channel off the ground. It will take a lot of time and effort to elevate our status, but eventually we hope to be the top independent news outlet in Denver, and the rest of Colorado.

Lee’s Summit is the sixth largest city in the state of missouri.

My wife and I moved our family to Lee’s Summit a couple of months ago. I got a job working with the school district. Shortly after we moved to the city, we had problems with the AC unit in the rental house. As part of the deal for the rental house, my wife and I had to pay for the AC repairs. We didn’t know who to call in Lee’s summit. We searched online for the best HVAC repair business in missouri. Then we looked for the best AC repair company in Lee’s summit. The same name came up in both searches so my wife and I decided to call the company. We were hoping they would do a free estimate, but they charged a fee to come out to the house and look at the problem. The fee wasn’t a huge amount of money, but it covered the time that the technician had to spend looking at the AC unit. If we chose to have the repairs completed by the company on that same day, then the cost for the evaluation was deducted from the total bill. The only way we really had to pay for an estimate was if we did not have the work completed by the same company. That was the only time we have encountered any problems with the rental house since we have been here. It has been smooth sailing other than the small problem we had with the AC unit a few weeks ago.
