I have started looking into unusual heating component than what I have, then currently my partner and I rely on a central oil furnace and air conditioner for our IN home, however the people I was with and I live in Evansville IN, A/C isn’t easily needed.
Sure there are a few boiling days in the summer, but nothing both of us can’t handle.
The 2 of us love to open the windows and let a fresh breeze in amway, but it clears out the air and unfastens smells. So having a cooling plan is a waste of money. I have been looking at strictly heating only systems to save money. I am just not sure what I want. It seems love a boiler plan is the most powerful and efficient of them all. The con of this category of oil furnace is that a boiler is super extravagant. It is also quite big and needs to be fitted in the basement. It can have piping hooked up to it to serve as the water heater, radiant heater, baseboard oil furnace or a snow melt heating system. It is actually adjustable. I just don’t suppose if I have that kind of money! Yes overtime I am sure it would pay back for itself, but it is such a hefty expense. I have looked into gas furnaces but they require HVAC duct installation, but my home is older and I am not sure it could withstand this hard process. That leaves me with a fireplace or electric heated flooring, one isn’t that powerful to do the whole home and the other a single requires my current flooring being ripped up. I don’t easily love any of my options here.
