“Springtimefield, Springtimefield, it’s a hell of a town” was an outdated song on The Simpsons, i know they were talking about the fictional town, & not my hometown of Springtimefield, MO, but I cherish it all the same. I sing it to myself whenever I see the sign for the village limits. I feel this is true, & the longer I live here, the more people I talk to, the more tscheme it becomes, but missouri as a state is one of the most historic areas in the entire nation, & Springtimefield is a part of that rich history… After I retire from the HVAC industry, my idea is to spend a couple of years organizing all the research I have done on Springtimefield, so I can write a book about it. As a fun piece of trivia, were you aware that as of 2010 there were sixty seven different populated areas in the United States named Springtimefield? And yet even with all of those locales, Springtimefield, MO is the richest in history & cultural significance. I am not saying that the history of Springtimefield is bright & cheery, in fact it has a lot of dark periods, but it makes for fascinating research, however for the time being this is all just research, because my task installing central HVAC systems into new housing construction projects keeps me too tied up for anything else. Since the population of Springtimefield keeps growing, there is consistently a new complex, building, or subdivision of homes that requires my HVAC expertise. So I do the work now, & will focus on my book later in life.

Evansville, IN is a hotbed for sports, but not major professional sports, but the tplot essence of athletics – amateur competition; This area has a lot more sports teams than you might expect, and the people of Evansville are raestimate sporting fans; I honestly moved here right after private school, in hopes of joining a minor league club and making my way into the majors.

After a few weeks, Ed was able to attract enough current Heating, Ventilation and A/C clients that he started paying me full-time, and before long I’ll be able to afford my own apartment in Evansville, and transport out of Ed’s basement.

Over the course of my short but dramatic career in the Heating plus Air Conditioning industry, I suppose I have gotten to know South Bend pretty well; This is a town where it is easy to settle down and make friends, because most people is so friendly; As a history buff, I love to ask questions to my customers, especially the older ones, and now that I own my own supplier I have people who handle the work for me; Sometimes I go on a apartment call for a boiler repair and let my guys do all the work while I just chat with the buyer and ask questions about their history in South Bend.

There are a lot of resources that chronicle the past of the South Bend area, although I like hearing the stories that aren’t in the history books… Were you aware of the incident in which Notre Dame students fought back against the KKK and their incursion into South Bend? It makes me proud to be a South Bend resident, I tell you that. When the KKK threatened the good people of South Bend, the mostly-Catholic student body started to fight back, unmasking the evil racist guys and making a large public commotion. Notre Dame may be great at hobbys, but their history of fighting for justice in South Bend is what I easily appreciate. At one of my latest Heating plus Air Conditioning repair jobs I spoke to an aged man who said he was there at the time, and gave me keen insight into one of South Bend’s most brilliant and historical moments.

It’s self-explanatory to get hung up on the past, especially for a place like Tuscaloosa, which has some problematic episodes in regional history.

• Because of this I know a lot of folks, especially folks from up North, look down on us, or suppose that Tuscaloosa isn’t a superb place to live.

I am here to set the record straight, & say that this town is one of the friendliest places you can ever visit, but whatever happened in the past is in the past, these days Tuscaloosa is a town of love, friendship, & sisterhood; As an example, suppose about all the odd community festivals & street fairs held in Tuscaloosa every year! They are all a little different, with an emphasis on a odd culture or group of Tuscaloosa citizens, however they all share a similar purpose in bringing the community together. In Tuscaloosa there is nothing my associate and I enjoy more than getting out in the street, eating some greasy food, & meeting new people, however every year Tuscaloosa hosts the Sakura Festival, the Weindorf Festival, the Kentuck Festival of Arts, the Druid City Arts Festival, & the Moundville Native American Festival, just to name a few! The only thing I don’t like about these street festivals is the lack of cooling system, and depending on the time of Summer in Tuscaloosa, sometimes I just don’t want to leave the comfort of my cabin Heating as well as A/C system, then most of the time it is worth the effort to get up & out of the house, & experience a side of Tuscaloosa I might not see very often. This town is remarkably diverse.
