Alabama is a genuinely great state

Alabama is a genuinely great state in my opinion… You don’t hear anything too radical left or right from Alabama, but my buddy and I are wholesome, put together and a cheerful community! I genuinely enjoy that I live in a location with such great weather too.

I could never live somewhere that is tepid most of the year. I enjoy a wonderful summer time season to cool off in the A/C and swimming in the pool, however, I don’t want it to be all the time. In Alabama my buddy and I do get a winter season season, however snow and below frosty hot and cold temperatures are precious though. In my opinion, that is the best of the winter season season; Getting cooler weather without the horrible, wet, freezing snow? That is the best! My buddy and I also get a nice fall and Spring season. It is easily a four season state, due to this I have been able to get by with a geothermal heat pump choice for my Tuscaloosa home. I enjoy that it is a red and energy efficient choice in the Heating and A/C field, but the geothermal heat pump is buried underground and takes the existing heat energy in the winter season season from there, then under the ground is much warmer than the air. That clean, fresh heat is then pumped indoors and my colder air is pumped outside. The reverse effect happens in the summer. Sure, the start-up costs were a bit much but now that I am going all year long, I am saving so much money. You can’t have geothermal Heating and A/C in any state, but in Alabama it works great.

I couldn’t take the heat

I spent a whole year in Phoenix, AZ for work, then i genuinely thought I would love the state of Arizona as well as want to live there forever, and well, sadly it is just too dang tepid for me, then did you know there are months on end when the weather is comfortable in the 100s? Isn’t that awful? I just can’t sit being in that kind of heat for that long, but the winter time season is barely any better.

There is no chance of snow, ice, as well as below-freezing temperatures.

While some people like that, I miss having that third season, however basically in Phoenix, you are getting summer time as well as more summer! Everything is consistently blooming, I need lawn repair all year around as well as my air conditioner company as well as I are on a first-name basis. I was used to generators as well as heaters for the season. In Arizona, it is all about AC. I never even turned on the heating function of my unit. I stuck with high-velocity A/C all year around. I basically hide indoors for half of the year. Thankfully that worked out well with my place of work. I put in some crazy hours as well as impressed a lot of people. The reality is that I just didn’t want to be outside. The section is gorgeous, there are hiking trails as well as so much to see. I just couldn’t take the heat personally, but once work provided me a current place to live, I jumped at the opportunity. I am just not a tepid weather type of gal after all.

Tornados are more regular in TX

It seems like no matter where you live, there is some natural weather disaster on the horizon; For most of my life I was in New York, and it was constant talk about white out conditions, serious cold, plus ice.

On the news all winter season long was the severity of the snowstorms! People would be without power plus some people would die due to the cold; Then I went to school in Florida.

That turned into hurricanes, suddenly it was wind, rain plus flooding, however everyone would tie everything down plus prepare for house detriment! Now that I live in Plano TX it is all about tornados. The extent of my tornado know-how was the film Twister with Helen Hunt plus Bill Paxton. So I was a bit shocked that it is a real, serious thing that people are talking about. Tornados are more regular locales in TX. Plano hasn’t gotten a serious tornado hitting the section in over 20 years though. Some light winds cause some detriment, that is about it! As far as weather disasters, tornados are entirely the best. I like that it is just wind that I need to worry about. No flooding, no cold, plus no snow. I have a backup generator plus I keep my ear out for when there is a warning! But I wouldn’t say I have ever been scared when there was a tornado out, but we just don’t get hit that bad. So I think I have ended up in the best location out of all three.

I thought we’d get snowflakes when temperatures dropped to 30 degrees in Tampa

I was used to much colder winters before moving to Tampa, Florida.

  • I was a snowbird at first, a transplant from the northern midwest who would drive down in early December when temperatures in my household state would plummet below chilly.

By then my friend and I might have a blizzard at least once after Autumn advances into winter, however it was almost a guarantee that temperatures would get into the teens at least once while in this time. That chilly weather gets more noticeable with age, & I’m not exactly sure why. Count that was one among numerous reasons you see a lot of retirees moving down south to various coastal cities in Florida like Tampa, Sarasota, Naples, Miami, & Pensacola. However, people come down here in the winter & expect there to be beach weather. That’s not a satisfactory expectation. While there are fantastic beaches in the Tampa Bay area, you could show up in the middle of December with 30 degree temperatures & find yourself severely disappointed. My associate and I had a certainally chilly winter this year in Tampa, Florida. I was driving down interstate 69 headed south to Palmetto when I heard on the boombox that temperatures would hit 30 degrees the following day. I thought my friend and I might really get snowflakes this time, however my friend and I didn’t. My friend living in Ocala said his thermometer outside study 28 degrees at one point however they didn’t get snow flurries either. While it might seem impossible, this really happened on December 19, 1970 when Tampa had various inches of snow on the ground, covering rooftops & automobiles.
