I have moved around a lot and have finally settled in Elgin, Illinois of all places.

My family is downright astonished since they live down south.

They deal with warm temperatures for most of the year. The sun comes early and doesn’t let up. They get summer-like conditions in the middle of the winter. Basically For about two months it gets a little chilly. Not like Elgin though. Their cold days might get into the 30s. I can get into the teens without breaking a sweat. My summer season isn’t all that impressive either. A few days in the 80s is about it. My family worries about AC and keeping cool most of the year. I haven’t bothered with an air conditioner. I am all about heating. I make sure that my gas furnace and fireplace are ready for the long season. While my family thinks this seems horrible, I feel I am living a better life. I love being cold over too hot. I like that I can sled, snow mobile, and snowboard. I like going ice skating and watching hockey teams in their rink. The cold also is more holiday themed. The summer season is just long and warm enough for me. It is hot enough that I open up my house and let the fresh breeze roll in. I air everything out, introducing some sweet smelling, fresh air. Then I am good to go for another year. Elgin is such a safe, small town feel as well. I wouldn’t give it up for all the money in the world.

I do not want to hit the beach in 90 degree weather

It is funny despite the fact that I have lived in Florida for about five years as well as I have typically wanted to go to St! Petersburg, it isn’t that far, maybe a three hour drive. It just seemed truly strenuous to get there in my head, then one day I mentioned to my partner that I typically wanted to visit there. I wanted to rest on the beach in a swanky hotel. I wanted to shop, go to the spa, as well as maybe walk around the neighborhood of St. Petersburg, however my partner was astonished at how cheap as well as doable my dream location was, for my birthday we made the choice to go to St. Petersburg. My partner gambled, played a round of gold, as well as got a massage. I got a facial, laid on the beach, as well as hit the fitness center. It was a good trip for the two of us, the best part was the weather in St. Petes. My buddy and I went while in the early Spring season. It was almost too frigid to go in the water. My buddy and I got a smoking deal at the hotel though, then since we weren’t in peak season nothing was sold out or bumped up in cost. The two of us agree that if we travel anywhere in Florida we need to go in Spring or fall… Honestly the Summer season is the one people travel while in but it is too warm for us. I do not want to hit the beach in 90 degree weather. I would rather take a dip in 70 degrees if I had to pick. I do not want to risk a burn at all.
