My wife & I live in a rural town in FL… The weather is boiling all year long & there isn’t much to do; I usually don’t mind it at all.

The only drawback is during the holiday season, and my wife & I just can’t get into the holiday spirit. I don’t want to carve pumpkins when it is 74 degrees outside. Thanksgiving feels different when I could swim in our pool… Christmas is the greatest letdown too. It just never feels like it without snow. This year the two of us are making a pilgrimage for Christmas; Both of us decided to absolutely have a colorless Chrimstas. I debated on NYC or Chicago for our holiday endpoint, however after some research, I liked the sound of Chicago better. The prices to fly & stay there were more acceptable. Also, I found there is a lot to do. In NYC you can see shows & stop at the markets. That is about it. Chicago had food possibilities & activities. They have theater, jazz, films, holiday markets, shopping & spa services at swanky hotels. Another pro to the section was recreational cannabis. I will admit that did sway myself and others towards IL over New York. The mindset on weed is so different. I wanted our wife & I to have a evening where both of us get a little crazy. Both of us can shop at the holiday markets, buy some wine & legal cannabis. Then the two of us can have a fun evening in our hotel room. I am actually looking forward to our Winter time getaway.

No matter where I went the a/c was consistently icy cold, which was a stark contrast to the 93 degree temps outside. They consistently make sure the a/c is the best it can be, allowing people to relax plus just have fun.I spent the rest of the week exploring the museums plus bookstores of Tampa Bay, plus hitting the appealing beaches plus the cannabis dispensary.

Rocklin has cold Winter temperatures, however during January and February, the yearly average is in the 50s, however overnight lows reach cold… In the higher elevations, there is a opportunity for overnight snow, then there is fog and rain frequently during the Winter months, then all of us have to be prepared for flash floods and mudslides that can happen in an instant.
