The only thing I knew about Beverly Hills, CA was that it is the place I want to be, at least according to Weezer.

When my husband and I started looking for a vacation spot, we searched around in California.

I didn’t like the looks or the feedback we got from San Francisco and San Diego. Beverly Hills was universally liked though. It also is near the LA airport. So my husband and I planned an itinerary where we hung out in LA and partied for a few days. Then we went to Beverly Hills to see the sights, shop around and get massages. I thought for sure we would like Los Angeles more. Beverly Hills was smaller, prettier and cleaner. It also offered tons of things to do but didn’t have the loud and crazy nightlife. The prices were reasonable and the restaurants offered diverse cuisine. In LA we looked around for recreational cannabis. While there were a lot of options, the prices were just too high. In Beverly Hills there were 50% less options but the costs were good. We found something we liked too. There were dispensaries with dab bars, smoker’s lounge and an on-site bakery. What more could we possibly need? I now wish I would have made the whole trip out of Beverly Hills. We should have flown into LA and then immediately drove away. I will know that for next time though. I think I will like staying in one base camp much better too. Renting a car and returning it is always annoying.

My mom and I decided to take a drive to Philadelphia last weekend so we could visit one of the new medical marijuana shops. We live up in Allentown which is about 2 hours away from Philadelphia. We decided to take the turnpike so it would be faster. There were cars broken down all over the turnpike because of snow and ice. My mom and I were trying to be careful, but we had trouble driving as well. It took almost 2 hours just to drive 30 miles because of all the accidents and terrible weather. When we finally got to Philadelphia, it was already past lunch time. We went right to the medical marijuana shop to pick out some supplies. I parked the car so my mom and I could both go into the dispensary together. The medical marijuana dispensary had a lot of different products available like concentrates, dried marijuana flower, tinctures, and edibles. My mom picked out a couple of different edibles and I picked out several different types of dried marijuana flower. I got some indicas and a couple of sativas. When I saw a blue dream strain that had 30% thc, I decided to buy it. The blue dream strain was a top-shelf product and $55 for an eighth, but it was worth every penny. The Blue Dream marijuana strain was the best thing that I have smoked in a long time.

Their loyalty programs are a great way to earn discounts on future purchases. At the bigger dispensaries, I can find the most popular brands and strains. A few feature on-site bakeries, dab bars and vape lounges. I like that a short drive arrives at any of a number of different recreational dispensaries. I can always find the type of cannabis product I’m hoping for. I always have a diversity of flavors, potency and consumption methods to choose from.

My friends and I went to a concert in Albuquerque, New mexico. We drove about an hour to get to the city. The roads were clear and there wasn’t a lot of traffic, so it didn’t take very long to get to our destination. We had about an hour before the concert started and some time to kill, so I suggested we go to a recreational marijuana dispensary that was nearby. When the show was over, my friends and I decided to go to a diner in Albuquerque that was close by. The diner was packed with people that had been at the concert earlier that night just like my friends and I. We found a table at the back of the diner and ordered some food from the menu. I absolutely love living in Tampa, Florida.

I relocated to the Sunshine State a little over five years ago. The city of Tampa is just beautiful. It offers great weather and amazing scenery. There’s easy access to beaches, ocean waves, high-end shopping and fantastic food. Plus, I am a huge hockey fan. Since moving to Tampa, I’ve purchased season tickets to the Tampa Bay Lightning games. Attending a hockey game in the south is very different than in the north. I used to need to bundle up in a wool coat, hat, gloves and heavy boots to prepare for the games. I would first shovel the driveway, brush the snow off the hood and scrape the ice from the windshield of my car. I worried about dangerous driving conditions. The walk from the parking lot to the arena was excruciating because of the snow and cold. Now, I typically drive to the games with the air conditioner blasting. I wear shorts and a T-shirt, and the walk from the parking lot to the arena sometimes has me sweating profusely. It’s a relief to step inside the air conditioned arena. In the middle of the winter, the cool environment feels wonderful. When it’s time for playoffs, there are sometimes issues with keeping the rink cold enough for good quality ice. I never need to worry about bringing along a coat or getting stranded in blizzard conditions. My home in Tampa isn’t even outfitted with any kind of heating system. We strictly focus on air conditioning and dehumidifying. It’s very different in the south, but I am way happier with the heat than the cold and snow.
