Both of my sons played football in high school.
My husband and I attended every single one of the games, even the ones that occurred in the month of December when the temperatures were downright cold and frigid.
December in Denver is no laughing matter, especially up in the hills. The school is located just at the base of the mountains right outside of Denver. When the kids were playing ball in December, temperatures were around 30° every single day. During one of the games, I slept on some ice and I fell down a couple of stairs. I thought I was fine, because I got up and I was able to walk and put weight on my foot. Unfortunately, it started to swell and I ended up leaving the game in the 4th quarter to go to the emergency room. The doctor said that my leg was badly broken and he wondered why I didn’t feel more pain. After I got out of the hospital, the doctor recommended medical marijuana to help with the pain. It was excruciating after the surgery. Even with the pain pills, I could barely stand being awake. My husband brought me home some medical marijuana from a Denver dispensary and I smoked a little bit of the pot. I coughed a little bit and I laughed a lot. After that I ate a lot of the things in the refrigerator. I did feel much better and I forgot about the pain temporarily. I smoked medical marijuana a couple of more times while I was recovering from the broken leg.
