My partner & I live in a rural neighborhood in FL… The weather is warm all year long & there isn’t much to do, i usually don’t mind it at all.
The only setback is while in the holiday season, then my partner & I just can’t get into the holiday spirit.
I don’t want to carve pumpkins when it is 71 degrees outside. Thanksgiving feels unusual when I could swim in my pool, but christmas is the largest letdown too. It just never feels like it without snow. This year the 2 of us are making a pilgrimage for Christmas. Every one of us decided to certainly have a colorless Chrimstas. I debated on NYC or Chicago for our holiday endpoint, but after some research, I liked the sound of Chicago better. The prices to fly & stay there were more sufficient. Also, I found there is a lot to do. In NYC you can see shows & stop at the markets. That is about it. Chicago had food possibilities & activities. They have theater, jazz, movies, holiday markets, shopping & spa services at swanky hotels. Another pro to the section was recreational cannabis. I will divulge that did sway me towards IL over NY. The mindset on weed is so different. I wanted my partner & I to have a night where we get a little crazy. Every one of us can shop at the holiday markets, buy some wine & legal cannabis. Then the 2 of us can have a fun night in our hotel room. I am entirely looking forward to our Wintertide getaway.
