After my bestie & I broke up, I was alone all the time; I told my therapist that I was feeling depressed.
- I told her that I was thinking about calling my ex-bestie to see what she was up to, however my therapist recommended it might be a better method to get a pet.
I went to the local neighborhood shelter & visited with some of the cats & cats, the neighborhood shelter had 2 birds, a set of lovebirds, & an iguana as well, despite the fact that I knew that those creatures would require way more work than I was willing to give. I also work a lot of long hours at the Albuquerque heating & A/C repair business. I needed a pet that would not require use of the bathroom every few hours. I tend to work 10 or 12 hour days on the weekends & I did not want to worry about my pet being miserable. I went to the shelter a couple of days after I was done laboring at the heating & A/C repair shop. There was 1 cat that seemed to entirely appreciate me, and he was an older German Shepherd & Pitbull mix. That cat was entirely cute & friendly & he seemed to appreciate me a lot. The lady at the Albuquerque supplier told me that the cat would be a great fit for my needs & my schedule & recommended that I take the pet apartment for a weekend. I took the cat apartment on Friday & by Sunday afternoon, I was ready to sign all of the paperwork & adopt a new companion.
