I have always suffered from allergies.
- When I was a kid, my mom wouldn’t even let me go outside during the Spring months.
I was allergic to the pollen and the flowers and the fresh cut grass. I could barely go outside without having an allergy attack that included sneezing, coughing, and breathing issues. Even as an adult, my allergies are still pretty bad. The last couple of months have been very difficult for me. My wife and I live on the North End of Lansing, Illinois. New construction started a few months ago on a brand new neighborhood development right outside of Lansing. The dust from the construction is thick and heavy in the air. As soon as I walk outside, I start sneezing. Our house in Lansing is easily two or three miles from the construction site, but the dust and dirt in the air is still very troubling. I bought a cheap air purifier for the bedroom last weekend. Sleeping has been difficult and I’ve only been getting a couple of hours every night. I was hopeful that the air purifier would help me sleep more soundly. I turned on the air purifier for the first time a few nights ago. The machine runs very quietly, but it works amazingly well. The house is much cleaner and the surfaces inside do not have as much dust and dirt as they did before I bought the air purifier. Even though my allergies are horrible because of the new construction, I’m hoping they will go away when the new Lansing neighborhood is completed.
