Evansville is one of the biggest cities on the Ohio River.
It is situated in the southeastern part of the state.
Evansville, Indiana, has been my home for the past 10 years. I enjoy the area a great deal. There are a number of restaurants, clubs, and activities to interest lots of different people. One of my favorite places is Mesker Park zoo. The zoo is close to my apartment and I have a season pass. After the season pass fees are paid, I can go to the zoo and Botanical Garden anytime I want for free. The only real problem with living in Evansville, Indiana is the cold temperatures during winter months. It can be very frigid and quite cold, especially during December, January, and February. When the temperature drops below 32 degrees, we often have precipitation. Because we are close to the river, the amount of snow is always higher than places that are further from the water. My apartment has a state-of-the-art and energy efficient furnace. The energy efficient furnace has a 99% AFUE rating. When the furnace is running, it is using all of its energy to actually create Heat. The updated furnace is a perk of the apartments and one of the reasons why I decided to move to the place. The cold temperatures make it very hard to keep the house warm, but I don’t have too many problems thanks to the new furnace. I often need to keep the temperature inside of my apartment lower than 70 degrees or it feels like an oven.
