Do-Si-Do Down 16th Street Mall

At a little over 1 ¼ miles long, the 16th Street Mall is a pedestrian treat for folks in downtown Denver.

If you don’t want to have to walk all that way, there are eco-friendly bus shuttles that go back and forth up and down the promenade.

Getting on and off is possible when you see the store you want to try. Even though it is a relatively small space, there are about 250 stores located along the promenade of the 16th street mall. Lest you think your only option is to shop, though, don’t worry. There are other things to do at this mall. There are a couple of smoke shops where you can pick up your paraphernalia; marijuana is legal in Denver. You can stop for a bite to eat at one of the delicious restaurants that calls the mall home. Got the kids with you? Why not grab a burger or a pizza? Spending an afternoon with girlfriends? Grab a lovely lunch and follow up with a nice gelato. If you happen to be a tourist, you can even call the 16th street mall home – at least temporarily – at one of the many hotels that run along the mall. Whether your choose a national chain such as the Courtyard or the HIlton, or you prefer to stay at a condo rental or in one of Denver’s boutique hotels, you can be sure that hospitality awaits you around every turn. Denver has a diverse population and the political climate in the Mile High City affords welcome to people of every sort,m type, color, and disposition.
