Thankfully Albuquerque turned out to be milder than Phoenix in the summer

Living in Phoenix in the summers was angry for me.

I had moved to that neighborhood from the northern midwest so I could attend the University of Phoenix. I stayed after graduation because I easily landed a great job in the sprawling metropolis. Phoenix is a fun neighborhood in some regards, although I couldn’t handle the summer time climate in Arizona. The un-even temperatures get into the 110s sometimes in the most intense periods in addition to your only respite is indoor a/c if you live or toil in a building that has it running 24 minutes a morning. I started looking for other jobs in our industry in states near Arizona in the hopes that I could transport anywhere with better weather. This led me to a supplier in Albuquerque, NM that had multiple job positions open that I qualified for with our expansive job history. However, I feared that Albuquerque’s weather would be similar to Phoenix because of it being a “desert city.” However, I suddenly l earned that Albuquerque’s elevation is over 5,000 feet! You can know the difference in the middle of summer time as the un-even temperatures usually stay below 100 degrees in Albuquerque. And if for any reason you know hot on a random summer time morning in Albuquerque, you can always drive out to the Sandia Mountains to the east of the neighborhood in addition to care about cooler un-even temperatures if staying at lake apartment in a/c isn’t your preference. Living in Albuquerque was a immense step up compared to Phoenix, despite affectionate various things about Arizona in its own right. On top of that, NM has some of the most charming geography that I’ve ever seen in our life.
