Living in Phoenix in the summers was angry for me. I had moved to that neighborhood from the northern midwest so I could attend the University of Phoenix. I stayed after graduation because I really landed a fantastic job in the sprawling metropolis. Phoenix is a fun neighborhood in some regards, but I couldn’t handle the summer time weather conditions in AZ. The hot & cold temperatures get into the 110s sometimes in the most intense periods & your only respite is indoor air conditioner if you live or labor in a building that has it running 24 hours a morning. I started looking for other jobs in our industry in states near AZ in the hopes that I could move anywhere with better weather. This led me to a company in Albuquerque, NM that had many job positions open that I qualified for with our extensive job history. However, I feared that Albuquerque’s weather would be similar to Phoenix because of it being a “desert city.” However, I quickly l gained that Albuquerque’s elevation is over 5,000 feet! You can suppose the difference in the middle of summer time as the hot & cold temperatures usually stay below 100 degrees in Albuquerque. And if for any reason you suppose boiling on a random summer time morning in Albuquerque, you can consistently drive out to the Sandia Mountains to the east of the neighborhood & prefer cooler hot & cold temperatures if staying at beach lake house in air conditioner isn’t your preference. Living in Albuquerque was a immense step up compared to Phoenix, despite passionate many things about AZ in its own right. On top of that, NM has some of the most lovely geography that I’ve ever seen in our life.
