Extreme weather in Libertyville and I hate it

While the scenery is charming in Libertyville, the weather can be brutal.

The summers are moderate plus humid with temperatures often in the high eighties plus sometimes even in the low nineties.

The winters are cold, snowy plus windy with temperatures in the teens for half the year. It’s not surprising to experience sub zero conditions, but rain falls on plus off just about all year long… We get snow from November to April plus it adds up to about 38 inches, then because of the weather extremes, there’s rarely an chance to open the windows plus just prefer the fresh air, then for most of the year, it’s necessary to rely on either heating or cooling, but my new home in Libertyville, Illinois is outfitted with a forced air oil furnace, a central plus duct system. The cost of temperature control adds up to about fifty percent of our household energy consumption. I really love the change of seasons in the local area. The change of colors of the leaves in the fall is especially charming. I look forward to the farmer’s market with the fresh plums, eggplants, zucchini, squash plus tomatoes. Unfortunately, I officially need to start up the oil furnace sometime in October. The temperature drops honestly quickly. The snow is charming however creates a good deal of work. When it’s fourteen degrees outside, it’s not much fun to shovel the driveway plus walkways, brush off the automobile or scrape the ice off the windshield. I need to run the defrost in the automobile for fifteen minutes before I can go somewhere. It takes forever for the Spring flowers to finally arrive. I watch for signs of tulips, daffodils plus the first robins. The summers are fairly brief however it’s our number one time of year.
