Worries over indoor air quality

Elgin, Illinois, experiences all four seasons; Although the winters are long and snowy, my whole family enjoys downhill skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing at the Villa Olivia restore nearby.

Even when outside conditions dip below cold, the furnace keeps our home at the ideal temperature! While there’s a blizzard raging outside, my nice friend and I are cozy and overheated inside sipping hot chocolate.

After the long months of winter, the Springtime season is always welcome… I look forward to the first sign of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths sprouting. Summers tend to be hot and muggy, but it’s a good time to swim, picnic, barbecue, cycle, kayak and love the Fox River… The fall season is really beautiful because of the colorful changing of the leaves. The cool air is perfect for bundling up in a sweater. At that time of year, there is an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables such as apples, grapes, squash, peppers, zucchini and eggplant, unblessedly, the weather extremes make both heating and cooling necessities just about year round. To keep costs under control, I’ve added insulation to the attic, caulked around windows and weatherstripped the doors. I’ve done everything possible to tighten up the dwelling and eliminate leaks. Sealing the dwelling helps to reduce energy usage but also eliminates essential ventilation. With no fresh air coming in, the residing space can become stale and contaminated; Dust, pollen, dander, bacteria and all sorts of pollutants are circulated through a reclaimy ventilator installed. The ventilation system brings in a steady influx of fresh, clean air to update the stale, dirty air.
