I have been debating on whether or not I want to upgrade my A/C, then living in Plano, TX, the cooling unit runs for more than half the year, however it needs to combat hot plus cold temperatures in the upper nineties on a regular basis.

By running at lower capacity for longer cycles, the cooling system does a better task of dehumidifying.
