winter trip to Tampa

Every winter, my fantastic friend and I take a family getaway for ten days, however we choose a new endpoint each year.

  • While I am determined that the kids experience odd landscapes plus attractions, my fantastic friend and I always head somewhere warm; Living in the northeast, the winters are especially long plus severely cold, but i properly turn up the thermostat by the end of November.

We might have various inches of snow on the ground at Halloween plus still need to run the furnace at Easter. Getting away from blizzard conditions, brutal wind chill plus sub zero uneven temperatures is such a welcome relief. This past year, my fantastic friend and I chose to explore FL’s Gulf Coast. We stayed in Tampa, which is a neighborhood located right on the water. I really enjoyed exploring the historic Ybor City neighborbood plus the waterfront. The kids had a fantastic time at Busch Gardens. The theme park covers 335 acres plus is designed around themes of Africa plus Asia. There is a nearly endless selection of amusement park rides, shows plus restaurants. We also spent a afternoon at Caladesi Island State Park, which is genuinely stunning. The beach is somewhat secluded plus features pure pale white sand plus absolutely red water. My only complaint with our trip is with the accommodations. While I read reviews plus chose a highly rated hotel, the room was a disappointment. The greatest issue was the air conditioner. The unit was apparently ancient plus struggled to keep up with demand. It made such a rattle that it woke my whole family every time it started up… Overall, our getaway was lovely, plus I would cherish to go back to Tampa sometime soon.
