Okay, Lakeland, FL looks honestly great, but not going to lie… I am always looking for places nearby that I can visit; My husband and I used to go overseas for European vacations.
We enjoyed trying a new culture and seeing amazing sites, but then COVID happened.
We got stuck traveling within the United States. Then my friend and I had a baby. Now the two of us only want to stay local. We live in Florida which is good because it is a large state. We frequently look at a map and try to find our new endpoint, then lakeland is appealing to me currently since it is about a two hour drive! Our kid should be able to sit that. Then my friend and I are at our endpoint! Everyone speaks English and my friend and I can drive house if my friend and I dislike the stay. I honestly don’t know so though. I found some honestly awesome things in Lakeland. There are markets, rodeos, shopping, good food, youngsters museums, and all sorts of parks. It is called Lakeland for a reason too. It honestly looks so pretty. I know our kid will have fun at this new endpoint. I also know there is plenty for my husband and I to enjoy. The Polk Theatre always has something cool playing. I honestly would like the opportunity to see something in that. I am willing to keep our schedule open. What is nice is that Lakeland has such good weather. We can virtually go whenever my friend and I want to. I know my friend and I could still have a good trip in the dead of the winter season.
