Okay, Lakeland, FL looks really great.
Not going to lie.
I am always looking for places nearby that I can visit. My husband and I used to go overseas for European vacations. We loved trying a new culture and seeing amazing sites. Then COVID happened. We got stuck traveling within the United States. Then we had a baby. Now the two of us only want to stay local. We live in Florida which is great because it is a big state. We frequently look at a map and try to find our new destination. Lakeland is appealing to me currently since it is about a two hour drive. Our son should be able to stand that. Then we are at our destination! Everyone speaks English and we can drive home if we hate the stay. I really don’t think so though. I found some really awesome things in Lakeland. There are markets, rodeos, shopping, great food, kids museums, and all sorts of parks. It is called Lakeland for a reason too. It really looks so pretty. I think our son will have fun at this new destination. I also think there is plenty for my husband and I to enjoy. The Polk Theatre always has something cool playing. I really would like the opportunity to see something in that. I am willing to keep our schedule open. What is nice is that Lakeland has such good weather. We can virtually go whenever we want to. I think we could still have a great trip in the dead of the winter season.
