For a long time anytime my cooling system ran it had a funny stink, that was unlucky since I live in Tuscaloosa, AL. That means the A/C system was consistently running; It stinked like a musty, wet basement. I tried spraying a cleaner. I tried mopping the floors. I also tried putting those wall plug scent things. It never seemed to help, and so after that I started trying to find out what was the cause of the smelly stink. I looked all around plus decided it was my cooling equipment. I changed the air filter plus realized that is where my comprehension is done. So I got on the iPhone plus called a Tuscaloosa A/C supplier to get me started. The A/C supplier for AL was entirely great. The guy checked every part of my A/C system… He ran tests on the air duct plus found it clean. He looked at the outdoor unit. Then he tore up the inside component plus found the root of the problem. I had mold on my cooling coil, however as the A/C operated, the air was blowing over the coil plus leading to that awful stink. The guy simply cleaned it up, put some vinegar through the system plus it was right as rain. ACs are wet systems plus clogging up with mold, mildew, algae, plus other bacteria is quite normal. I know I am going to be better about AL A/C service since I don’t want to deal with that funky stink again. I don’t want to have that wet basement stink or be breathing in mold spores. That isn’t healthy at all.
