This year, my family and I went to a lot of different cities in the southern part of the country.
We have been traveling around in our recreational vehicle seeing all of the cool places around the country.
We’ve been trying to visit as many national parks as possible. One of my favorite places that we stayed this year was Birmingham, Alabama. Birmingham has a thriving art and culture scene. There were at least a dozen or more museums and art galleries to explore. Birmingham also has a great culinary scene. There were a ton of different bars and restaurants with local cuisine and drinks. We also enjoyed seeing the Ruffner Mountain nature preserve. It was probably one of the best views of the city from on top of the preserve. There were different hiking trails as well as miles and miles of places to explore. The only thing I didn’t like about Birmingham was the weather. We went to Birmingham during the summer when it was extremely hot and humid. We had a lot of trouble with the AC unit in our rv. The AC unit had trouble keeping up with the hot Birmingham temperatures. I would love to go back to the city someday, but I would prefer to go during the winter when we don’t have to worry about the AC unit. I could probably spend another week exploring all of the bars and restaurants. There were so many cool places to eat and it was not possible for me to visit every single place that looked fantastic.
