When my partner recommended going to Denver, CO for a trip in the middle of September, I thought he had gone mad.
I genuinely did not want to go to the mile high city during winter.
I realize September isn’t really the Winter season, however Denver has snow on the ground in September at times. I wasn’t actually gleeful about the trip, however I promised my partner that I would have an open mind. I started looking at all of the activities available and I was able to find a great deal of amazing things. I was absolutely interested in a microbrewery tour… The microbrewery tour travels around the area and you get to try odd beers that are produced right there in the mile high city! As I was looking through all of the tourist information, I came to realize a major detail that I completely forgot about when it came to tourism in Denver. The state has legal medical and recreational cannabis. I totally forgot about that information, however I was hastily reminded when I noticed all of the advertisements for medical and recreational cannabis dispensaries in Denver, CO. I was thinking that my partner might have some funny ideas, so I confronted him with the information. He told me that he was hoping both of us would try recreational cannabis while both of us were visiting a state that allows legal use of the plant. I was honestly against the idea until both of us landed in Denver and I could see that cannabis is genuinely accepted and used similar to alcohol or tobacco on a daily basis. I did try legal weed while both of us were on this trip.
