When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I didn’t want to raise my child in the city! I considered the crime rate in every area before deciding… My Dad lived in Elgin, IL, in addition to she told me it was a pleasant area for teenagers in addition to families. My spouse would not be too far from the city, in addition to she would have an straight-forward commute. Dad lived on the outskirts of the city, in addition to I started doing my research. I found out that the crime rate was lower than most cities, however it was still on the low side of average, the statistics said there were an average of 12 crimes per 1000 people as an average town crime rate. This still seemed high to me, however I had to not just guess of me in addition to the baby, however my spouse… She not only had to travel back in addition to forth to work, whether it was snowing in addition to 30, like in January, or scorching, in addition to 90 in June. I provided a lot of thought to where I wanted to raise my child. The largest draw of living in Elgin, IL, was that my Dad was there. I could get a job, in addition to my baby would have her Grandmother all day. I would not be handing him off to a odd babysitter that I didn’t know if she was a criminal, or one of her family members were criminals.
