There’s never really a time in Orlando when there isn’t traffic, especially when you get close to the amusement parks. I never plan to go anywhere quickly, especially when I have to take I-4. The interstate is backed up for miles and an accident can cost you valuable time. I work for an HVAC repair company in Orlando that is close to my home. I’m a lot luckier than some of the other guys that work at the business, because I don’t have a large commute in the morning or the afternoon. It only takes about 15 minutes to get from my apartment to the HVAC repair business. I’m usually the first person to the office in the morning and that means I get the pick of any schedule that I want. There was a job in Davenport, which is just south of Orlando. I knew it would take about 30 minutes to get from the office to the HVAC repair. I left the office around 9:00 in the morning after having coffee and donuts with the boss. Having time with the boss is one of the perks of being the first person to the office. It took 2 hours for me to get to the service request in Davenport. I only had to travel 7 miles, but traffic was backed up for six of those miles. There was a really bad accident on the interstate and it took a while to clean up the mess.
