I must soon replace my 12-year-old air conditioner

The varied terrain that surrounds Phoenix is one of the reasons I enjoy living here.

There is the desert, of course, but there are also mountains all around us, so we have fantastic hiking trails.

Every year, a large number of tourists arrive in Phoenix to take advantage of the pleasant climate, delectable cuisine, and amazing shops, galleries, and other attractions. Even though tourists only spend a brief amount of time in the city, they only get a brief impression of Phoenix. Living in a desert environment has its difficulties. One of them involves having adequate air conditioning in order for your home to be comfortable. If you didn’t know, Phoenix has a sizable HVAC industry because having air conditioning is a requirement there. Without the comfort of air conditioning, it would be difficult to endure the sweltering temperatures outside. I personally consider my air conditioner to be one of the most significant appliances I own, so I take extra care to keep it in top working order. I always make sure to schedule the unit’s maintenance at least once a year. The unit is now getting older, so I’ve been scheduling service twice a year. An air conditioner would typically last 15 to 25 years in a typical climate, but due to Phoenix’s extreme weather, most are only given 10 to 15 years to live. Since my air conditioner is about 12 years old, I will probably need to replace it in the next year or two. The shorter lifespan is due to more wear and tear on the unit, but living in a scorchingly hot city like Phoenix, Arizona, comes with the territory.
