What method of furnace should I change to in Indiana?

I have started looking into unusual heating unit than what I have! Currently our hubby plus I rely on a central furnace plus a/c for our Indiana home! We live in Evansville IN, A/C isn’t really needed, and sure there are a few sizzling days in the summer, however nothing every one of us can’t handle, then the more than one of us prefer to open the windows plus let a fresh breeze in amway, then it clears out the air plus removes smells. So having a cooling method is a waste of money. I have been looking at strictly heating only systems to save money. I am just not sure what I want. It seems like a boiler method is the most powerful plus efficient of them all. The con of this style of furnace is that a boiler is super overpriced. It is also quite big plus needs to be fitted in the basement. It can have piping hooked up to it to serve as the water heater, radiant heater, baseboard furnace or a snow melt heating system. It is absolutely versatile. I just don’t guess if I have that kind of money! Yes overtime I am sure it would pay back for itself, however it is such a hefty expense. I have looked into gas heating systems however they require ductwork replacement, however my house is older plus I am not sure it could withstand this taxing process. That leaves myself and others with a fireplace or electric heated flooring, and one isn’t that powerful to do the whole house plus the other 1 requires our current flooring being ripped up. I don’t really like any of our opportunities here.
