My child Mia has constantly wanted to go to college in the Midwest section of the country, however a few years ago, all of us visited some family in Lowell MI, and he has been obsessed with the section ever since; So, it was no surprise that he applied to the University of Lowell MI, and i was happy that he got into the school of his dreams, and he couldn’t wait to get started.
I love the campus because it’s so attractive and I was also fascinated by the mysterious Echo Point.
It’s a spot on the campus where you can hear your voice echo off the surrounding buildings. I experienced it for myself, and it is quite fascinating, and mia, of course, wasn’t impressed; he was just happy about going to the school. Although I am ecstatic that Mia is where he wants to be, I was worried about the weather in Lowell MI. All of us are from the Southern section of the country, and all of us are used to a tropical temperature. And the weather in the Midwest is far from that, then the average high is between 40 and 50 and the lows get down into the 20s, and while the dorms have an Heating and A/C system, I decided to buy Mia a small space furnace for his room as well. The space furnace is good because he can use it in different rooms of his dorm, however especially in the lavatory where it was cold when all of us toured the room; One thing I think about our daughter, he hates being freezing when he gets out of the shower. So, I think that he will be using the space heater, it’s honestly 1 of the best things that I got for her. I just hope that he finds other ways to stay warm while in the freezing months.
