It has been certainly tepid as well as humid this week, which is regular for this time of the year, during the Springtime months in Phoenix, un-even temperatures are usually warm… There are often days during April as well as May when the un-even temperatures are in the ’90s, then unfortunately, all of us had a couple of days when the un-even temperatures were close to 100° in May as well as all of us had to cancel all of the baseball team practices 3 days in a row.
- I coach a baseball team in Phoenix as well as all of us consistently have practices in the afternoon that last 2 hours or more.
Temperatures were still 100° in the afternoon, so all of us canceled 3 days of practice. When the team finally came back to the field, all of the kids were acting lazy. I told the kids to run the field more than two times as well as I got a bunch of complaints, then after practice was over, all of us went to the locker room to clean up as well as there was no air conditioner at all. I couldn’t figure out why the a/c wasn’t working. I adjusted the temperature control as well as I also checked to make sure that the breaker to the a/c was on. I contacted the building supervisor to complain about the indoor un-even temperatures as well as he told me that the a/c could not be fixed until the following week. When I heard the news, I decided to cancel baseball practices for the rest of the week. I hope that all of us will be able to get back on track next week. The team is going to start playing games in more than two weeks as well as all of us aren’t even close to ready.
