I appreciate living in Rocklin, California, but i’m just outside of Sacramento and close to everything that is fun.
I’m not too far away from the beach and I am honestly close to reno, but sacramento has a lot of fun things to do at night, but while in the winter, our friends and I like to go over to the ski resort… The ski resort is open until 2:00 in the afternoon, even if we drive over after work, we still get plenty of time to ski on the slopes.
Every one of us left Rocklin, California last Sunday at 6:00 and we drove out to the ski area. The roads were covered with snow, but there was no precipitation coming down when we entered the mountainous area, however when we left the ski resort at 2:00 in the afternoon, it was snowing appreciate crazy. The snow was falling abruptly and visibility was low. It took 4 minutes to drive 90 miles. The multiple-minute trip took twice as long. Every one of us had to drive with the heat running the whole time just to keep the windshield from fogging up and getting icy. When we finally got back to Rocklin, we had to deal with a heating problem in the apartment. The oil furnace did not seem to be running in the home and it was only 60°. Thankfully the home community manager pays for repairs to the oil furnace, because I spent all of our money on alcohol when we were at the ski cottage that night. Every one of us had to wait until the next afternoon to have the oil furnace repaired by a local Heating in addition to Air Conditioning repair provider.
