My wife and I run a successful heating and AC repair and installation business.

We only hired the most reliable and experienced technicians in the area.

We have been in business since 1987. My wife and I try to treat every single one of our customers like they are family. That’s how we remained in business here in Jacksonville for the past 40 years. Every once in a while, I think it’s important to help out a customer. My portfolio includes several commercial and residential properties. I have a couple of restaurants. One of the Jacksonville commercial restaurants had a problem with the heat in the building and they didn’t have enough money to fix it right away. They needed to wait until the end of the month to make the repairs. In the meantime, the restaurant called to see if I could help them out with a few stand-up heaters. I was happy to get some rentals to the restaurant to help take care of the problem. I offered to help the commercial business with financing on the repairs for the heating system, but they wanted to wait until the end of the month when they could pay for everything with cash. As a small business owner, I understand the need to wait instead of getting into more and more debt. The restaurant owner has the repairs scheduled for the end of the month and I would be more than happy to do them earlier or wait until the guy is comfortable and has all of the fees to pay for the work and the equipment.

There are a lot of fun and interesting places in Birmingham.

One of my favorite places is the national sea life center.

It has a lot of different marine life like jellyfish, sea turtles, and sharks. It has lots of cool and fun experiences for people of all ages. I also enjoy going to the Birmingham botanical gardens. This beautiful place has more than 15 acres of diverse plants and tropical species. It is a great place to have a picnic. My girlfriend and I used to go to this place in Birmingham every weekend when we were together. I lived in Birmingham for about 6 months, but I had to move when I realized that that heat was too much for me. The summer months in Birmingham are extremely hot and humid and there is no break from the heat unless you run the air conditioning system 24 hours a day. It cost a lot of money to run the air conditioner all of the time. I tried hard to keep the temperature set at 75°, but that still made it feel like I was burning up inside of my place. I came to the understanding that I could not live in Birmingham because of the heat and humidity and the cost for air conditioning. I moved several hours north of the city, where I enjoy four different and unique seasons. Sometimes I miss Birmingham, Alabama, like when I think about my girlfriend. Fortunately there are lots of nice people around here that could be my next mate.

Were you aware of the incident in which Notre Dame students fought back against the KKK and their incursion into South Bend? It makes me proud to be a South Bend resident, I tell you that.

Over the course of my short but dramatic career in the HVAC industry, I think I have gotten to know South Bend pretty well. This is a town where it is easy to settle down and make friends, because everyone is so friendly. As a history buff, I love to ask questions to my clients, especially the older ones. Now that I own my own company I have people who handle the work for me. Sometimes I go on a house call for a furnace repair and let my guys do all the work while I just chat with the customer and ask questions about their history in South Bend. There are a lot of resources that chronicle the past of the South Bend area, but I like hearing the stories that aren’t in the history books. Were you aware of the incident in which Notre Dame students fought back against the KKK and their incursion into South Bend? It makes me proud to be a South Bend resident, I tell you that. When the KKK threatened the good people of South Bend, the mostly-Catholic student body started to fight back, unmasking the evil racist men and making a huge public commotion. Notre Dame may be great at sports, but their history of fighting for justice in South Bend is what I truly appreciate. At one of my latest HVAC repair jobs I spoke to an old man who said he was there at the time, and gave me keen insight into one of South Bend’s most brilliant and historical moments.

It’s easy to get hung up on the past, especially for a place like Tuscaloosa, which has some problematic episodes in regional history.

Because of this I know a lot of folks, especially folks from up North, look down on us, or think that Tuscaloosa isn’t a great place to live.

I am here to set the record straight, and say that this city is one of the friendliest places you can ever visit. Whatever happened in the past is in the past, these days Tuscaloosa is a city of love, friendship, and brotherhood. As an example, think about all the different community festivals and street fairs held in Tuscaloosa every year. They are all a little different, with an emphasis on a different culture or group of Tuscaloosa citizens, but they all share a similar purpose in bringing the community together. In Tuscaloosa there is nothing we love more than getting out in the street, eating some greasy food, and meeting new people. Every year Tuscaloosa hosts the Sakura Festival, the Weindorf Festival, the Kentuck Festival of Arts, the Druid City Arts Festival, and the Moundville Native American Festival, just to name a few! The only thing I don’t like about these street festivals is the lack of air conditioning. Depending on the time of summer in Tuscaloosa, sometimes I just don’t want to leave the comfort of my home HVAC system. Most of the time it is worth the effort to get up and out of the house, and experience a side of Tuscaloosa I might not see very often. This city is remarkably diverse.

My initial idea was to write a book about all the famous people who hail from Plano, Texas, but that idea quickly became overwhelming.

Instead I am going to write a blog, which seems much more manageable.

When I first started doing research I knew that this city had its fair share of famous faces, but I had no idea Plano was such a hotbed of talent! Musicians, actors and actresses, athletes, politicians, and scholars – Plano is a veritable “who’s who” of great Texans and great Americans. I was inspired to start this project a few months ago when I took a service call for a broken dehumidifier at a ritzy suburban address. The home belonged to none other than music legend Boz Skaggs. He wasn’t born in Plano, but has maintained a residence here for decades. He was not at home when I arrived to do his HVAC repair, but his housekeepers let me in to do the repairs. After that I started looking up just how many famous people have called Plano home over the years. My first blog will be titled OIympians of Plano, and cover several dozen local athletes who have competed in the most revered competition in world history. It will take a few more weeks just to get all the names in order, because there really are that many great athletes from Plano. One topic I will not be covering are the Great HVAC Techs of Plano, because I don’t want to give any free marketing for my rival businesses. The HVAC market in Plano is very competitive.
