There was a parade and festival in downtown Denver Last weekand I was stuck working at the marijuana dispensary… It was honestly a pain, because there were so numerous events going on at the same time, but traffic was moving in lots of weird directions and the interstate was backed up.
I left the Denver marijuana dispensary around noon with the first of our deliveries.
I headed east of Denver with the first order and I saw the traffic standing still going in the opposite direction. I took a weird route home, however it did not help. When I saw traffic backed up on the interstate already, I knew it was going to be a undoubtedly long day. Traffic never got better and I spent most of our night sitting in 1 arena. I barely finished with various sets of deliveries and I usually end up with a fourth set on the weekends. I only gained half of the familiar amount in tips that I usually make on a weekend night. Traffic was horrendous and it slowed down everything, including all of the marijuana deliveries, and by the end of our shift, I was sleepy, sleepy, and exhausted. I did not have a wad of cash in our pocket to show for our aches and pains and that made me even more frustrated at the end of the night. The next time there is going to be a festival, I am going to request that day off work. I’d rather stay home than have to deal with marijuana deliveries in Denver in that kind of crazy traffic again.
